Mind Body Breath

Phew! The holidays are a joyful time, but can also certainly be a stressful time. At least for me. A part of me LOVES the chaos, kids, gift giving, parties, abundance of delicious treats, cards, games, family and fun. But then there’s a part of me that gets a little overwhelmed.

Well, really overwhelmed if I’m being honest. Sometimes there are tears involved, especially if I feel like I’m losing control or awareness of any sort of schedule of events. Please tell me someone can relate?! Christmases are wonderful, but we have yet to get it together in terms any kind of coordination 🤣🤷🏻‍♀️.

Somehow it all ends up working out and we’re all having so much fun I can’t hardly stand it. But then there are those stressful moments that bring me to my knees, you know?

And it’s times like these, when I turn to movement and a mind body connection for help and it WORKS. Pretty much every time. I don’t so much stress or focus on “getting a workout in,” but more getting movement in and making a mind body breath connection that both centers and calms me. I’m not really an expert and don’t know the exact reasons WHY it helps, I just know that it does. And it pretty much works every time.

Lately I’ve been throwing in a lot of intention and breath work into my movement and the experience has only gotten better. I’ll put more effort research into the whys and how’s later l, but for now, I’ll just leave this little flow here for y’all to try. Trust me. It helps. ❤️🙏🏻
